Fixed:

As promised some photos of our 20th anniversary trip to Paris that we took on the 22nd anniversary because of reasons 🙂
We did a lot of walking, eating, drinking, and generally having loads of FUN!
Day 1: Travel, 2CV tour, walking around and a big river boat dinner
We got up real early and grabbed a high speed train from Amsterdam to Paris:
In Paris we met up with our tour guide and we drove around the city in old Citroën Deux Chevaux cars, after which we had lunch and walked about the city a bit.
We see you Eiffel tower! We will be visiting you soon too!

After that, we enjoyed some free time on our own, and finished the day with dinner on a big river cruise boat, right under the Eiffel tower.
Day 2: Guided tour of the city, Eiffel Tower, Tuk-Tuk and Buddha Bar
After a great breakfast of croissants and pastries, we walked around the city on a guided tour with lots of interesting tidbits of information about the history of Paris.
And of course an LCS (“Local” comicbook store) had to be visited!
We then stopped briefly for a great lunch, with a glass of wine. Or two glasses. Salmon and mashed sweet potatoes:
Then, we headed over to the Eiffel tower to visit… all the way to the top!

And now, to the top! It takes 2 elevator rides to get all the way to the top and the view is amazing!
They even serve beer half way up the Eiffel tower:
After that we “tuk-tukked” our way back to the hotel. A great (and FUN) way to sneak right through traffic and get somewhere quickly during Paris’ constant rush hour
Catching up and having a couple of pre-dinner drinks at the hotel before leaving for the evening program:
That night, we enjoyed amazing dinner and drinks in the Buddha Bar, they even themed the menu to our CLZ 20 Years logo!
Day 3: Walks, “Canard & Champagne”, influencing and more!

Fixed:
- Series Images didn’t show for some TPB/HC series folders
Tweaks:
- “Search by Barcode Scan” in main screen: now immediately shows the details page of the found comic.
- Series Images: now use the Earliest/Latest based on Release Date, instead of Issue Number. Also, it now only uses covers from comics that are “In Collection”.
Fixes for iOS:
- Adding from Core: Cover Price and Nr of Pages did not download anymore
- Only on iPads running the old iOS 14: crash when refreshing Card View
- Update from Core: the “Always show…” switch at the bottom crashed the app
- Update from Core: did not clear selection after updating
Fixes for Android:
- After editing Completed status, the series list did not update.
- When down-syncing your customized Series name from Cloud, it used Core series names in some cases
- Occasional crashes when editing Series entries
Let me try to answer the most common questions about the upcoming partnership between CLZ and CovrPrice (CP):
Q: To get comic values in my CLZ app/software, do I need a subscription to CovrPrice?
A: Yes, that is correct.
To get access to the comic values from CovrPrice, you will need a subscription to the CovrPrice “Premium” plan, which is US $6.95 per month or US $60 per year.
You will also need an active subscription to your CLZ app or software. A grandfathered account will not suffice.
Q: So does this mean I need to use two different sites or apps?
A: No, that is not necessary, you will get the comic values *inside* your CLZ app/software. You do not need to go to the CovrPrice site to see the values.
However, because of the CovrPrice subscription, you *will* have access to the all functionality of the CovrPrice site, like seeing values for all grades for raw and slabbed, checking on value trends, looking up the actual sales a value is based on, etc…
September is getting closer, so time for an update about our upcoming collaboration with CovrPrice for comic values. But first, a quick summary:
CLZ / CovrPrice: What’s it all about?
CLZ and CovrPrice are going to work together, which will give you comic values from CovrPrice (for both raw and graded comics), right there in your favorite CLZ comic cataloging tool (CLZ Comics, Comic Connect or Comic Collector).

Still no version 8.0 yet though, as we are saving that major version number for the upcoming huge CovrPrice update.
Today’s update is version 7.11, introducing a configurable Update from Core tool.
In today’s update for your Comic Connect software, one new feature and some further tweaks to the new Vertical Card View (based on your feedback):
- Relink Core Variant: easily link your local entry to a different variant in Core
- Improved Vertical Card View: now including Grade/Value and Collection Status
Fixed:
- Card view texts had the wrong color in certain situations
- App could freeze in Series list when sorting on issue count
Nope, we won’t stop improving this app 🙂 Here’s version 7.10 already, with one new feature and one improvement requested by you all:

A large part of the CLZ team is currently preparing for the upcoming collaboration with CovrPrice for comic values. The developers are working on the apps, the software and our server side code, while the content managers are getting our Core for comics fully linked up with the CovrPrice database. We are planning to do a more detailed update on this project soon.
Still, with all that going on, we have been able to do quite a few other projects, mainly for the mobile and web-based software. These are our July 2022 releases:

Based on lots of feedback from members of the CLZ Comics group on Facebook, we decided to completely re-design and rewrite the Pull List feature.
This re-designed Pull List tool was already released for the CLZ Comics mobile app a few weeks ago. Today, the new design has also been released for your Comic Connect software, expanding it into a fully flexible way to browse recent and upcoming comic releases.
Here’s an overview of all the improvements:
- View releases per week
- List releases in series folders or as one “flat list”
- New “My Series” tab: view releases for your existing series
- New “Discover” tab: browse ALL recent and upcoming releases!
- Easier adding of series to your Pull List
- Easily open the full issue list for any series

BBy popular request, we have enhanced our support for getting values from PriceCharting.com! And there’s more…
Here’s what’s new in today’s CLZ Games 7.5 update:
- Support for the separate Box Only and Manual Only values
- Support for the Graded values
(“Graded” is now an extra Completeness option) - More hardware related stats and charts in the Statistics screen
- You can now also set Tags for Hardware items
By popular request, we have enhanced our support for getting values from PriceCharting.com!

For this update, the main goal was to make the cover images in the Add Comics screen bigger, to make it easier to find the issue or variant that you own.
However, while working on that, we ran into some other things that could be improved, so we figured why not? So in the end, it turned out be a serious overhaul of the Add Comics screen 🙂
Here’s an overview of all the improvements:
- Bigger cover images in the Issue List
- The Issue List for a series now opens in a separate page
- Preview Page now also shows a bigger cover image
- And finally: the Add Comics screen is now a lot bigger!
Recently introduced in the CLZ mobile apps and instantly very popular, so now available in all five Connect flavors too: the Card View.
(And… because Connect already had a view called “Card View”, we renamed the old view to “Horizontal Cards” and named the new one “Vertical Cards” here.)
Here’s how to switch to new “Vertical Cards” view: on the toolbar above your collection list, click the 2nd button from the left, called “Vertical Cards”.
