Very easy to use and stylishly presented. Update - I've now been using the app for over a year and can absolutely recommend it. If you're looking for a library catalogue app this is the one to go for. As a plus your catalogue is also accessible though the CLZ Cloud.

I had considered many ways to catalog my large library of history books. I had, for example, thought about creating an Excel worksheet. That was too cumbersome and too probe to error. Then, I stumbled upon this marvelous app and my problems were solved. Thanks so much for your creativity and ingenuity.

Before coming across CLZ Books, my collection was kind of ‘By guess and by golly.’ I am now able to locate any book in my collection and have it in hand within a minute. It allows me to build and work with collections (topic, author, copyright dates, etc.) The price is not excessive and the control it gives one are well worth it.
For someone who is more ‘techy’ than I am, it offers even more opportunities. It has an app for connecting with other users, and they have regular updates by email for a variety of uses.

I have been using CLZ Books since the early CollectorZ days when Books was the only desktop version. My experience with all versions if CLZ Books over the years has been truly satisfying. Now I synch my desktop with my mobile with my cloud effortlessly. I no longer worry about purchasing duplicates of books that I already have but don't remember.

This app is very well done. It is super simple to input books and all the details about the books. The look is very appealing to the eye and can be easily modified to your preference. Plus it is very affordable!

I really love this app to keep track of all my books. You can have different collections and I am also able to keep track of my son’s books also, while they are still separate from my collection. I’ve had this app for a year and ran into an issue where somehow I had 2 accounts. I reached out to support and they were so helpful and merged my accounts for me with no problem.

There are a bunch of ways to sort and filter. I love the sound the scanner makes, it's very satisfying. It's great to have this since I like buying both online and in stores, I don't have to worry about ending up with duplicates.

Ik ben al vanaf het begin een gebruiker van CLZ Books. Alle gegevens, die ik over een boek wil opslaan, kunnen erin. Het fijne is dat ik zo een totaaloverzicht heb op zowel de telefoon, de Ipad als op de Windows-PC. Met bijna 2000 boeken raak ik toch nooit het overzicht kwijt. Voor mij is ook handig dat ik in mijn boekenbestand specifieke dingen kan zoeken en apart uitdraaien, bijvoorbeeld voor een literatuuroverzicht. Invoeren van de gegevens is supergemakkelijk met ISBN of barcode. Happy user!

This is the best app I’ve encountered for managing a home library. It does everything I need and more. Even better, the developer and team constantly add new functionality that makes the app even better.

Ik gebruik CLZ Movies en CLZ Books al jarenlang met heel veel genoegen. Movies vanaf 2011 en Books vanaf 2016. De gebruikersvriendelijkheid en ondersteuning is in al die jaren op een zeer hoog peil gebleven. Alwin en zijn medewerkers reageren altijd heel erg snel. Wat erg te waarderen is dat er binnen CLZ altijd goed geluisterd wordt naar de gebruikers. Dat betekent dat er zinvolle updates en modificaties worden verwerkt. Steeds met dat luisterend oor naar de gebruikers.

The mobile app accesory to Collectorz excellent book organizing database system. Tracks your Ebooks, too. Collectorz offers a complete suite of custom databases to help you organize your life. They are constantly improving their product and offer customer service and support that many other companies can only dream of. You may be able to find cheaper or even free aps that claim to do much of what Collectorz offers, but you won't find better value anywhere.

I am using this to catalogue my late father’s library. Its database of books and its ability to search against ISBN are vital tools. I would be lost without it. The support staff are very responsive and the one time I needed them quickly resolved the issue.

I’ve been using CLZ Books for years across iOS, macOS and the web, and it remains the best book cataloguing app available. It’s regularly updated, well-supported, and continues to improve with every release. Absolutely top-notch—highly recommended!

I have been using CLZ Music for some years and have found it very useful. Now CLZ books seems just as good. I have several hundred (maybe a thousand?) books. Scanning bar codes or entering ISBN numbers makes entries easy. For some old books you need to enter the details manually and can photograph the cover to complete the entry. Details about the book and your opinion or whether it is in your ‘waiting to read queue’ can also be entered. Great app!

I’ve been looking for a really good way to organize my library. I am a collector with literally hundreds of books. This is the way! Even my old books, with no ISBN numbers, are easy to add, and it’s great to be able to be organized at last. Customer service is exemplary and I’m so happy a friend recommended this.

I’ve been using versions of this software for twenty years and it has just kept getting better. The developers never rest on their laurels but keep finding ways to tweak and add to the software in genuinely helpful ways. I have more than 6000 books in my collection and the software is quick and efficient both for sorting and for locating specific books.

So far so good! I've logged about 1/2 of my books, and I love it! Seeing what I have in one place is great. The app works well, and it is very easy. I have no complaints.

I have zero complaints with it so far. The cloud backup feature is nice, and I also appreciate the ability to export the full library if I need to.
Edit: one other thing to note: I actually appreciate that this app is supported by a very reasonable subscription fee. The last thing I want is an app that is free and never updated and eventually dies, or a bunch of ads. If you do eventually tire of paying a small fee, you can easily export your library.

Books are added to the database by scanning the ISBN barcode. I find the location field particularly useful as I have books in various rooms. This is manually updated. The app is cross platform, Web. Windows and android so that your collection is always in synch across platforms

I have had this app for years and I have found it to be very user friendly and efficient. Additionally, it is constantly being updated and changed for the better.

This is my favorite app. It keeps all the information about my library at my finger tips. This app is easy to use, provides tons of information about my books and is fun to use. It gives me total access to my information about my books and prevents purchasing duplicate books since the information is always at my finger tips. Need help or have a question, they are always available.

I use this app for my genealogy books. It works great and I always have on-hand what I have purchase. It's hard with genealogy books since lots of outdated books are reprinted with different covers and I have been known, before the app, to purchase another copy of something I already had. And, it's even better with the values attached. I have a book that is worth way more than I paid for it a few years back!!

I love the app because you can have multiple collections and it is so easy to add books by scanning them in.

I started collecting SF and Fantasy books 65 years ago. About 30 years ago, I passed 4000 books and keeping them organized became a chore. I wrote database programs in Apple Basic, then moved to Foxbase for my needs. I bought some early programs for home libraries but each required manual entry of all my books each time.
As I passed 5000 books, I came across a review of Book Collector software and purchased this along with Movie Collector, which I still use also. The program was fantastic and Alvin and his company have evolved the product continually. It is easy to adapt, change and modify. I have hundreds of art portfolios, prints and some original paintings by SF and Fantasy artists. I have incorporated these into my catalog with photos of the prints. I also have 1500 SF magazines from 1920’s to present that I may incorporate as well, to join my 6500 books. I can now find anything I want in seconds. Many have assigned values if signed and collectible.
This was all made possible by the constant attention of the company to function. Hats off to CLZ!

I love CLZ and have been using it for years. We looked for something to easily catalog out books. We had discovered that we had bought a number of duplicates simply because we couldn’t remember if we bought it last week looked at that particular book. This not only allows me to simply open my app and see if I own a particular book it also is fantastic at keeping up with my grandchildren’s books at my house. I love this app and have no regrets!!! Get it!!!!

My husband and I are both voracious readers and have over 2000 books (including childrens books) we moved about 5 years ago and never really ‘organized them’ well. With this app we dont have to be organized! I can just click the bookshelf and which row the shelf is and now I can find my book so easily! Best app ever! Easy to scan them and set up shelves. Easy to search by title and author.

I got convince by a Martha Stewart review a long time ago, and this has been extremely useful. The step to making it even more useful is to take the physical books and sort them by the Library of Congress number which is in the database.

I don’t usually do app reviews but I’m compelled to do one for CLZ Books given my experience over the past year and specifically within the past couple days. I’ve been using CLZ Books for a few years now, to varying degrees, but I have really started to put it through some hoops in the past year as I’ve finally begun to organize and catalogue my book collection, now approaching 2250 titles.
I first got it to replace another library app that went defunct, to help me avoid my common mistake of buying a book I already had, but I was quickly a fan of how easy it was to add books to my collection and to make notes for each entry. And with every update, improvements were made that made organizing my library a little bit easier.
There is a lot of data available for almost any book you might have, and adding books not in their database is pretty easy.
The best part of CLZ Books is the responsiveness of their customer support. The other day I had to reinstall CLZ Books on a new phone, and after I’d synced my library to the cloud, the app kept crashing. I was despondent because organizing my library has been a big part of my daily life for months, and the thought of not being able to use the app as a resource was rough.
I looked through the online CLZ community for any hint as to what was going on, and I fired off an email to CLZ support describing my situation. Within hours, I received a reply that a bug had been detected in a recent update and that they’d just pushed through a new update to resolve the issue. Sure enough, once I downloaded and installed the new update, it worked perfectly and I can now continue to organize my library.
Is it perfect? No, there are some sorting and search issues that can be improved upon, but I’m relatively confident that CLZ support will be responsive to comments and questions on the various forums and emails and get us to as close to perfect as we can expect.

The best app I have ever used to catalogue my book collection, I have been a user since the start, and with the active development team new features and performance enhancements are regular posted. I would recommend this app and their other apps to anybody.

I have been using CLZ for my 2,700 book collection AND for my 1,300 DVD/ Blu Ray collection for over 15 years. With the size of both collections I was often duplicating purchases of books and disks until I started using CLZ web and mobile software. Both platforms were easy to setup and use.
Over the years their developers have asked for us users for input on how to improve their products. The upgrades the have made makes it more versatile and efficient. Whenever I have a question they respond immediately and in this day and age that is something special.
I highly recommend CLZ products to any collector. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been using this product since before it was an app, and bought a bar code scanner for my PC. It’s just gotten better and better over the years. I own almost 5000 books, e-books and audio books, and I can check my inventory at any time from my devices, PC, or a browser.
Recently I decided to sell some of my business books, (I’ve retired), and the new pricing feature has been a huge help to determine which to keep, donate or sell. I also track books I loan, which ones I’ve read, where I got them, and where I put them (I have a lot of bookcases.)
In general I’m not an app fan, but this is the exception to that rule. The team are super friendly, send me quick personal emails when I have questions, have implemented suggestions, and continue to innovate. I couldn’t be happier with it.

Thank you for always staying on top of updates, and for acknowledging the developers who discover the need for them! I have been able to catalog and maintain over 1,800 books in my private collection with this easy-to-use application.

Couldn’t be easier to use. Scanning the barcodes makes life so simple and it can even read the ISBN codes if there is no bar code. Integrates seamlessly with web version and syncs easily. Very, very pleased highly recommended.
