Book Collector 8 for Windows is live!

It’s finally here, Book Collector 8 for Windows!
This may very well be the biggest Book Collector upgrade ever,
as we worked on both program features *and* on better automatic book data.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s new in V8:

• Improved e-book support (now reads Author/Title meta data from ebook files)
• Add Books Automatically: Faster, Better and More data (inc. back covers!)
• New: Cover Flow view: browse your books in a cool looking 3D image browser.
• New: Backdrop support: set background images for use in the details panel.
• New: Format, Country and Language icons, plus custom icons for other items.
• Re-Designed Loan Manager: loan *and* return books in batch, by barcode, etc..
• New: Box Set Support: group books in Box Sets and set special box-level data.
• Improved layout of Edit Book screen + calendar tool for entering date fields.
• New V8 templates for Details View and the Add Automatically Preview panel.
• New startup “splash” screen featuring Becky.
