It’s another exciting week for new comic releases, with several standout issues that are definitely worth adding to your pull list! Let’s take a closer look at what’s hitting the shelves this week:
First up is Doom Patrol, Vol. 7 #1. A brand-new volume for one of DC’s strangest and most beloved teams, this issue is a great jumping-on point for anyone looking to get back into the world of the Doom Patrol—or discover them for the first time.
Our second highlight is Teen Titans, Vol. 7 #1, kicking off a new chapter for DC’s young heroes. Written by Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black), this new series brings a fresh creative direction to the team, making this another issue worth keeping an eye on.
Next up, Absolute Batman #1 is back on shelves with its 12th printing. So, if you somehow missed the first eleven opportunities to pick up Absolute Batman #1… good news, DC is giving you one more chance!
Last, we take a look at Crowbound #1 (Image Comics). A brand-new series from Image, this is one to watch if you’re looking for something completely new to add to your pull list. This is described as a “part post-apocalyptic western, part southern gothic, part dark fantasy”.

NCBD! Yes, another Absolute title that takes the crown for being the most populair comic this week. It’s Absolute Batman #21, this time with 107 variants! Amazing Spider-Man #31 should be an interesting issue too, due to what’s been going on with a certain Cormac Crane… And if that’s not all, Something is Killing the Children is back with #48. Here are a few books that were handpicked by our content managers:
My pick (CLZ Taco) this week is: Lobo 4. I’m currently buying anything Supergirl related. Hey, no need to judge me. Lobo and Supergirl on a date? This story will be told in another perspective inside of the Summer of Supergirl Special. This one should be more fun though.
My pick (CLZ Rowdy) this week is: Concrete: Stars Over Sand #1. Concrete wandering across the desert, Lost. Larry and Maureen are frantic. Will they find him in time? Found out here!
My pick (CLZ Justin) this week is: Hellboy in Love: Obsidian #1. Hellboy and Anastasia playing Indiana Jones in a tomb with monsters? Sold

Starting from the year 2000, our name has been “Collectorz.com” with our website at “www.collectorz.com”. Makes sense, right?
But since the release of our mobile apps, titled CLZ Comics, CLZ Movies, etc.. many users started to refer to us as “CLZ”. So we figured, let’s go with the flow and officially rename the company to just “CLZ”!
So last week we made the big switch. Our company is now called “CLZ” and our website has moved to clz.com. (We have owned the cool CLZ.com 3-letter domain for many years and now we can finally make full use of it!)
But that’s not all. We took this opportunity to make several other big changes:
- A new company logo and styling for the CLZ brand
- A complete redesign of the CLZ website, with a fresh and modern styling
- All CLZ mobile apps have new icons, to fit the CLZ brand and styling
- Our web-based software, previously called Comic Connect, Movie Connect, etc… , is now simply CLZ Comics Web, CLZ Movies Web
- Where necessary to make the distinction, we will refer to the mobile apps as “CLZ Books Mobile”, “CLZ Music Mobile” etc…
- The CLZ Shop has moved from shop.collectorz.com to shop.clz.com.
It “has come to our attention”… that many users did not like the new app icon we introduced in version 9.10, as it resulted in Advice, Apathy, Annoyance, Anger and even Aggression 🙁
And after reading all user comments, we must agree, we indeed messed up there. Sorry !!!

September is getting closer, so time for an update about our upcoming collaboration with CovrPrice for comic values. But first, a quick summary:
CLZ / CovrPrice: What’s it all about?
CLZ and CovrPrice are going to work together, which will give you comic values from CovrPrice (for both raw and graded comics), right there in your favorite CLZ comic cataloging tool (CLZ Comics, Comic Connect or Comic Collector).
To get access to these comic values from CovrPrice, you will need a subscription to the CovrPrice “Premium” plan, which is US $6.95 per month or, when paid yearly, US $60 per year ($5/month).
You will also need an active subscription to your CLZ app or software. A grandfathered account will not suffice.
