My pick (CLZ Taco) this week is: Justice League Unlimited #20F. Another Supergirl cover releasing this week, It will never stop! And a Bilquis Evely cover no less. Lex Luthor and the Dark Knight are the heart of the mystery surrounding Brainiac Queen’s return.
My pick (CLZ Rowdy) this week is: Hellboy and the BPRD: The Monster of Nivola #1A. Rumors of a monster bring Hellboy to a nearly abandoned town in Sardinia, where the search for the creature leads to a local abbey with a shocking secret of its own. What trouble will it bring Hellboy? Written by Christopher Golden & art by Daniele Serra!
My pick (CLZ Justin) this week is: Absolute Wonder Woman #21B. A new chapter in the Absolute Wonder Woman saga, this week a new 2 part story arc titled: Friends & Neighbors. The cover I picked, connects to Absolute Superman #20 & Batman #21. They’re going to look on my wall!

Two nice improvements for CLZ Web in one go. First, you can now add a cover thumbnail as a column in your List View. Next to that, we spent some time improving the keyboard support in the Edit screen.
On top of that, we’ve now also added the possibility to install CLZ Web “as an app” to your computer.
NCBD! Yes, another Absolute title that takes the crown for being the most populair comic this week. It’s Absolute Batman #21, this time with 107 variants! Amazing Spider-Man #31 should be an interesting issue too, due to what’s been going on with a certain Cormac Crane… And if that’s not all, Something is Killing the Children is back with #48. My pick (CLZ Taco) this week is: Lobo 4. I’m currently buying anything Supergirl related. Hey, no need to judge me. Lobo and Supergirl on a date? This story will be told in another perspective inside of the Summer of Supergirl Special. This one should be more fun though.

My pick (CLZ Taco) this week is: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1. I know, I know, I’ve told you many times that I’m a massive MMPR fan. To feed my eternal hunger of Power Rangers content Boom Studios is here with a new #1. This time with an all-new creator roster as the last few releases haven’t been all that great. Through the years, the Edit Comic screen has evolved a lot. More and more fields were added, distributed over more and more tabs. And recently even more tabs got added for the new Custom Fields and My Images features.
So it’s time to make the amount of tabs more manageable and customizable, with two subtle changes to the Edit Comic screen:
NCBD once again! It’s no surprise that the biggest comic this week is Absolute Batman #20. The introduction of the Absolute Robin’s within this universe is and was always going to be a big deal. Did this release have to come with 123 different covers (for now)? That’s up for debate. Here are a few books that were handpicked by our content managers:
A Brand New Day! Both CLZ Taco and CLZ Rowdy picked this title this week: Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day #1. Spider-Man has a massive target on his back. Who’s after him? None other than the Punisher! Taco’s pick is the Patrick Gleason variant and Rowdy’s pick is Marcos Martín cover. Are you picking this title up this week?
Innards #1. Roy Wilder’s first day on the most dangerous job in the world. Working as a “diver” for the ONIS corporation, he has to gather humanity’s last energy source: Lucifium. If you’re looking for a psychological sci-fi thriller to read this week, this should be right up your alley.

Another big update for your CLZ Comics Web software today, which brings further ways to customize your comic book entries.
This updates adds a new My Images tab, that lets you add up to 5 extra images to each comic entry! That is next to the existing customizable Front and Back cover. You can use it to store more images/photos of your collectibles, e.g. of your actual book (showing its condition/defects), or your slabbed copy, a close-up of the signature on the cover, interior art, the CoA, etc…
Our content managers have worked hard to get all the new titles from the April catalogs into Core.
Some new titles include:
- Dark Knights of Steel, Vol. 2
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Vol. 3
- Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker
- …and much more!
In total, we counted around 2200 new entries for this month!
They are now all available to add to your “On Order” list in the CLZ Comics app.

My pick (CLZ Rowdy) for this week is: If Destruction Be Our Lot #1. Humanity is extinct and all that remains are the robots who once helped us. The robots who once helped us are happier now, doing their work without human interference. But not Abe. He believes there must be something more out there.
Finally a new Avatar comic!! My pick (CLZ Taco) this week is Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Kyoshi Warriors #1 Really looking forward to what this story has in petto for us. Only 3 issues unfortunately but hopefully a good read!
A fresh take on a 21st Century classic! Ben 10 #1 So basically Absolute Ben10? Take my money!! This is supposed to be the definitive take on Ben 10 from the team that created him. This is definitely my (CLZ Justin) pick this week. Loved the first animated series and alien force? Then this is a must read for you.

Today is Free Comic Book Day, and at CLZ we’re ready for it! And as if that wasn’t enough, this year also includes Comics Giveaway Day — a nice little bonus for comic fans everywhere.
Looks like it’s a good time to pick up something new (or a few extra things).
Our comic content team has worked hard to ensure that all the free 2026 comics are available in our Core online comic database, so you can easily add them to your collection.
A somewhat smaller week of the new comic releases. Few solid #1’s out this week by multiple publishers. With a good bunch of exclusives for Zatanna #1. FCBD & CGD around the corner, make sure you visit your LCS on May 2nd! Here are a few books that were handpicked by our content managers:
The Punisher #3D. Punisher making an end to Jigsaw once more. Written by Benjamin Percy and art by José Luis Soares Pinto, Jonas Trindade, Oren Junior and Frank D’Armata. With the Gerardo Sandoval variant being the one I will be picking up this week.
Hellboy in Love: Black Eyes #1. A cozy visit with retired B.P.R.D agents Archie and Margaret takes a chilly turn when Hellboy and Anastasia investigate the local ghost. Surely nothing will go wrong here right?
Generation X-23 #3C. Laura taken out by the new X-numbers! Can Scout (Gabby) find the allies needed to stop the death and destruction?! Find out with me this week! Definitely seems intriguing by the looks of it but this was a total cover buy pre-order :).

Here’s one suggested by one of our users: “why can’t we just click on creator name from a comic and then see all comics by that creator?”
That definitely makes sense, and it makes sense for other fields too! So today we’re releasing a new feature which makes it much easier to move through your collection straight from the details panel: Browsing and deepdiving into your collection just became a lot more fun!
While viewing a comic, you can now click on many of the fields in the details panel to instantly find all comics in your database that match that same character, creator, series, story arc, grading info, and more.
Quick note for all Vampirella collectors:
We have changed the series titles for the main Vampirella series in Core, to better match their indicia. To update your local entries, use Update from Core with the Series field set to REPLACE.
