Some small tweaks and fixes based on the feedback we received after the big v7 release:
Tweaks:
- Download key comic info from Core can now be switched OFF in Settings
- Pre-fill popup: Quantity is now always reset to 1
- For debugging and support purposes the Edit Series screen now shows Core SeriesID

- Statistics: The “paid” information was not calculated correctly
- Folders: “a”/”b” folders showing up instead of Yes/No

A huge 7.0 update for your CLZ Comics apps is now available, with one big new feature (key comic info!), many new fields and several improvements to existing features. All in one go and all based on your feedback!

- Improved List View entries, showing Key/Slabbed icons and Qty
- Improved Add Comics screen: Show/Hide Variants, enlarge thumbs, new beeps
- Improved “Missing Comics” screen (Show/Hide On Order and Unreleased)
- Use barcode scanner to search your own database
- Your Pull List now syncs between devices and software platforms
- New Collection Status icons and colors
IMPORTANT: For this v7 update, we have changed the database format (because of the new fields), so the first time you start version 7, the app will have to migrate your database to the new format. Depending on the speed of your device and the size of your database, this may take anywhere between 15 seconds and several minutes.
After the huge update for Comic Connect on Monday, I have another one for you, an improved Missing Comics screen. After we introduced the Missing Comics screen, about a year ago, we kept receiving the same two complaints from you all:
- It should not list my “On Order” comics as missing !!
- It should not list unreleased issues as missing !!
Both very good points, so with today’s update we are introducing 2 new settings.

Main screen lists now fully support system font sizes, that is, the list rows now automatically become bigger/higher if you have set your device to a larger font size. (previously, some information would be cropped)

Now available in the App Store, version 6.8 for CLZ Comics. In this update, we finally bring the Submit to Core feature to the mobile app, so that you can help improve the Core online comic database, by submitting your corrections.
Also new in this update: Select Mode is now easier to activate and the Action menu has a new look.

We’re on a roll with the Connect development, so today we can release two new features for your Connect software:
- Search your collection by barcode, using CLZ Barry
- Set your CLZ Cloud Visibility per collection

We have finally been able to free up web-developer Stijn from several long running “back-end” projects, so he is making good progress on all kinds of smaller Comic Connect improvements.
In today’s update, 3 nice additions / tweaks:
- Easier user interface for Columns and Sorting
- Remove/Restore the automatic Core images for Front and Back
- More fields available in Field Defaults

- Comic details page: Purchase Store could be shown twice
- Comic details page: Buttons to modify Read It/My Rating have been added to the Clear templates

- Series view is now always in list view (could be images in the past)
- Add Manually screen was wrongly named “Add Book”
- iPad: Main screen: When searching folders the tap area for the “X” to remove the search was wrong
- iPad: Main screen: Filtering in Series folders: Keyboard could disappear while typing
- iOS10: Add by Barcode tab wasn’t available
- iOS10: iPad: Images view would crash the app
- iOS10: iPad: After tapping a comic and tapping back, the list could disappear
Today, we have updated your Comic Connect software for you, with two nice improvements in one go:
- Enhanced Collection Status filter, now including On Order, For Sale, etc..

Instead of adding more new features, we decided to take a few weeks to work on the look and feel of the app.
In this 6.6 update, we improved the look and layout of the issue list and of the comic details pages, in both the main screen and the Add screen preview.
On top of that, we finally acted upon a common request from our users: you can now change the size of the thumbnails in the Images View.

After many CLZ app updates with new features and “functional” improvements, we decided it was time to work on a big “cosmetic” update and give the apps a nice make-over. Pim, Bernard and AJ have been working on this for a couple of weeks now. Here’s what’s coming up in the next updates for iOS and Android:
- Updated Images View with configurable thumbnail size!
- Optional use of backdrops behind lists.
- New design of Preview template in Add screen
- Updated templates for details pages.
- CLZ Comics: New look for the series list.

Use the Settings screen (from the menu top left) to select your preferred currency for the comic value, cover price and purchase price fields.
Choose from USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF, NOK, SEK or DKK.
Then run Update Values again to retrieve GoCollect values automatically converted to your selected currency, using the current exchange rate.
Fixed:
- Series cell “have summary” would display all comics for all your collections, instead of just the selected collection
- Series cell “have summary” wasn’t displayed at all when filtering on Wish List
- iPad only: sync screen would automatically close after syncing
