v9.8 Subscribe to CovrPrice as an In-App purchase, straight from the CLZ app

An important update for your CLZ Comics app today, in which we make it much easier to subscribe to CovrPrice and get comic values in your CLZ app.

In short: you can now subscribe to CovrPrice straight from the CLZ app, as in In-App-Purchase! And when you do, it is linked up and active immediately, just use Update Values and you’re set.

Reminder: what is CovrPrice?

CovrPrice is one of the best comic value services available, as they provide accurate and reliable comic values for both raw and slabbed comics, updated on a daily basis.

CLZ has had a partnership with CovrPrice since October 2022. Through this partnership, you can get up-to-date comic values from CovrPrice, right there inside your CLZ Comics app.

Up until today, to get this to work, one needed to:

1. Go to the CovrPrice site
2. Create a CovrPrice account
3. Subscribe to their Premium Plan
4. Then finally, link your CovrPrice account to your CLZ account, by pasting a token from the CP site into the MyCLZ site.

But not anymore, with today’s update we are making it all much easier!

Subscribe to the CovrPrice Premium Plan as an In-App Purchase

You can now subscribe to the CovrPrice Premium Plan straight from the CLZ Comics app, as an In-App purchase.

Here’s how:

• Open the menu using the menu icon top left
• Scroll down a bit to the heading “Comic Values from CovrPrice”
• There, tap the Subscription Status line, where it says “Subscribe now”

The CovrPrice Premium Plan is US $60 per year, or US $6.95 per month.

Purchasing the subscription from the app will automatically create a CovrPrice account, activate the subscription and link your CLZ and CovrPrice accounts.

So after subscribing, you will instantly be able to:

• Use Update Values from the menu to get daily value updates for the comics you own
• Use Check Value from the menu to look up the value of any comic, by title or barcode
• Research sales data on the CovrPrice.com website

Now also accessible for “grandfathered” users

Previously, it was required to have actual subscription for the CLZ Comics app before you could use the CovrPrice integration.
But with this update, we dropped that requirement.
Users who are grandfathered in to the CLZ Comics app can now do the CovrPrice integration too and get comic values inside their app.

What if you are already subscribed through the CovrPrice site?

If you are already subscribed to CovrPrice through their website, with your own CovrPrice account, then you’re good. That will keep on working, nothing changes.
There is no need to switch to subscribing through the In-App purchase, no benefits to that whatsoever. If you already subscribed to CovrPrice, we recommend to just to keep things as is.
