Movie Database Software

I’ve been into movies and movie trivia for most of my life (40+ years) and I’m a movie collector. Over the years I’ve tried other movie database apps and none have been as robust as this app. This one even lets me sort by title and series in the order I’d like to see them.
Plus their customer service is second to none! I can’t recommend this app enough! Well worth the monthly price!

It is the most and almost perfect app to deal with your Movie database.

There are dozens of movie collector apps but none come close to CLZ’s movie database. It is consistently updating to make it easier for collectors to keep track of your movies. My collection is huge so this app, which I’ve been using since it was its original release, has everything you need to catalogue your movies.
With streaming becoming more popular, I still purchase Blu-ray/DVD’s because the shows may not be available for streaming once they run their course through streaming services. CLZ’s core database is loaded with so much information that you’ll never have to look up who was in that movie or who produced or directed it.
This is the only database you need. I would also recommend their comic and book databases. Your movies seamlessly sync to iPads, smartphones, and your Mac or PC. If you have a large collection, as I do, you can’t go wrong with CLZ apps.

Hands down this is the best movie database on the market. It’s not just a database that catalogues thousands of movies. You can use the barcode to enter the movie or manually if you don’t have a barcode. It links each one to IMDB, setting out a synopsis and rating of the movie, provides a cast list, director and crew, you can search by genre, actor ,director etc., has a random shake function that can pick a movie for you if you can’t decide.
Apart from all the features what I like most about this app is the support that is provided with it. It is regularly updated, with new features added and the help desk is extremely helpful with prompt replies if there is an issue. There is a small subscription fee but the support and the updates are worth it. Also, what I have paid in subscriptions, I have saved many times over by referring to the app and avoiding duplicate purchases.

We have been using CLZ to catalog our videos for well over 10 years. Their product is outstanding and has continued to evolve over the years. Being older, my wife and I have occasionally needed technical assistance and it’s so refreshing to get GREAT SUPPORT from real human beings. Hadn’t used my movie database in quite awhile and realized in a panic this week that I had removed the app. In responding to my frantic plea for assistance, the CLZ employee replied, “First breathe in, breathe out. Your movie database is securely backed up inside your CLZ cloud.” I appreciated the understanding and slightly humorous response. Love your product; love your support!

I’ve been a movie collector since the days of Laser Discs. Over the years, I’ve tried several different programs and apps to keep track of them.
I discovered CLZ Movies about 6-7 years ago. An initial selling point was the ability to input movies using the bar code. Early on, there was a separate app that interface very nicely with CLZ Movies to do that, but that capability has long since been incorporated right into the main app. It works flawlessly.
When I first started using it, I had around 1,500 movies and nothing could have entered them faster. It took a couple of weekends, but it was faster than anything else. As they were entered, the app accessed their extensive movie database and filled in ALL the details.
I now have close to 2,500 movies and after all these years I have no complaints. When I watch one, I record the viewing date so I can avoid “getting in a rut” and watching the same ones over and over.
I use both the iOS app and the Windows version. I usually change the image related to the movie to an actual movie poster for the film and the app accommodates this nicely.
They routinely upgrade the app, adding nice new features. Their support is terrific and I seldom wait more than 24 hours for an answer.
If you’ve got a collection of movies, no matter how big, this is the app for you. Look no further.

Very good movie database, easy to navigate, easy to add movies.

I have looked at and tried a number of Movie database apps but none beats this one. It has its faults, nothing is infallible, but there is far more good than bad. It does help if you have the desktop version but it is not essential. You are able to add DVDs (of all kinds), VHS, Laser Discs, eMovies and even your own recorded.

I’ve use the CLZ movie database for many years to catalog my collection and those of friends and businesses in the area. On the rare times that I’ve needed assistance it’s always been there and spot on. THANKS!!

Thank you for an excellent product. I have tried 5 or 6 movie databases for my collection (2307 movies) and yours is the best and the one I use all the time.

Good when you have a large DVD collection and need to check if you have a particular DVD or not. 2018 Still the best movie database app around, the ease of adding new DVDs is great. 6 *

The best movie database ever.

I love this app. It’s very user friendly and has almost essential tools to catalogue your movie database. Still some features missing compared to the pc software.. but no problem ..it’s the best of all ..thank you.

I have been with Movie Collector for many years. As an avid movie fan I like to have all my movies catalogued and with associated details, cast members etc. Movie Collector is the best movie database I've come across. Clearly authored by movie lovers, it has only got better as time's gone by. It is quite an elaborate program so where I have got stuck trying to enter a multi-disk boxed set for example, I am so impressed with their support. They have always responded in under 24 hours to my questions, half way around the world in Australia.

Does everything and more than I want in a movie database.

I've been using their Movie Database/Collection Software from almost the beginning and would just like to share with All-Y-All that these guys are Champs! I love this software and especially the Mobile App.

Best movie database manager I have used.

This is just the best app out there for cataloguing your movie database - used with CLZ Movie Collector on my Mac I’m able to sync between the two of them. Great product & highly recommended from CLZ Alwin & the Team. Paul Keefe
