DVD Collection Software

I love physical media. But my DVD collection was getting outta hand. The joy of buying an obscure Japanese sci-fi classic in a second-hand store would be nullified by the fact that I already had it when I returned home.
Not now with CLZ. My collection is at my fingertips. I can trust my purchase choices once again!!
A truly awesome app. There is a crazy freaky pleasure in scanning the barcode on your new disc and seeing it added instantly to your listing.

Having been a longtime user of another dvd collection app, I am considerably impressed by the power and ease of use of this app. Adding dvds in bulk is lightning fast. The app has all many of ways of viewing the collection.
Most impressive of all is the customer support who proactively contacted me the day after I downloaded the app to ask how I was getting on and whether I had any questions or needed any help. I wrote a fairly lengthy reply and within the hour I got a detailed reply answering all my questions. Simply superb, thank you.

For my collection of over 2K DVDs this program is the best.

This is the best catalog program for your DVDs and Blu-ray’s. Adding disks is easy with scanning with your phone. As a bonus you can view details of your collection once disks are scanned. I’ve used this program for several years. I highly recommend it.

This is a great app for cataloging your DVD, Bluray collections and films you have seen at the cinema. One data base can be split into multiple collections depending on how you want to catalogue your collection. It is multiplatform including web, windows, android and IOS so you can keep your collection synchronised across multiple platforms. Entries can be added manually, from the CLZ core, or in the case of DVD/Blurays the bar code can be scanned.

I’ve been looking for an easy way to keep track of my extensive DVD and BluRay collection. I tried a couple other apps, but this an easy interface. It was a breeze to scan bar codes and get disc information. I’m mainly using it for tracking what I haven’t watched. I’ve gotten into the habit of rebuying discs that I’d forgot I already owned. This will help with that for sure.

So I have been using the various CLS apps for my music. Books. And DVDs to catalogue everything in my collection my DVDs mainly as I have such a large collection 5 1/2 thousand title it helps me to keep track of everything and more importantly, the value of my collections so yeah love using these apps and I don’t see me changing any time soon.

I have been a collector of movies going back to Super VHS and Betamax. I migrated through Laser Disks, DVDs, Bluerays, 4K Blue Rays, Streaming Purchases from Apple TV and now the ultimate - Kaleidescape. Keeping all these titles and formats organized was always a challenge and with the hundreds of titles I have in my collection, Excel Spreadsheets no longer cut it. Then after extensive research, I discovered great reviews for CLZ Movies. WOW, I wish I have purchased this App Years Ago! It has literally saved me money. I am a little ashamed to say I have purchased duplicates of movies I already own. I no longer have that problem, I just open my phone or tablet and can immediately see What Films I already own, What Format those films are in and Where I have them stored! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the CLZ Mobile App!!!

When you have a large DVD collection, this app is the way to go. Couldn't be easier to use.

Perfect for physical media collectors! This app works flawlessly and adding movies is incredibly easy and accurate. There's a ton of options on how to sort your collection so if you want to sort by IMDB rating or date released, it's super easy to do.
It also distinguishes between DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K releases which makes it easy if you're trying to upgrade current titles you own to newer formats. This is also a great way to catalog everything for insurance purposes. Overall, great app!

Awesome app. I'm able to track every DVD, bluray, and vhs in my collection easily. It's also very easy to manually add movies if you want to add "custom" discs, and equally as easy to add custom front and rear cover art. I highly recommend this app for physical media collectors.

Husband and I have a DVD collection of 4,000+ movies. Back before the turn of the century, it was a VHS collection which I tracked via an Excel spreadsheet. Can’t remember when we learned of CLZ but we’ve been using it for over 15 years. It’s easy to use (we are in our late sixties) and so convenient to be able to easily check your phone to see the movie collection. Last year we added all the CDs, also. If you collect, CLZ is for you!

Have used CLZ for years and still consider it the best! I have over 600 DVD’s in my CLZ collection. Anytime I see a dvd that interests me, I quickly check CLZ on my Iphone to see if I already have it. It’s been great!

Previously kept a record of my dvd/bluray collection on an Excel spreadsheet, however always took ages to update it. This app took me just over 2hours to catalogue my entire collection. It was super easy to do, just scanning every barcode and it added all the information automatically. Now if I can't decide what to watch, a quick shake of my phone, and the app chooses something at random. Well worth the annual subscription.

So far everything has worked flawlessly. I have lots of old DVDS and it has found every one by barcode. The barcode scanner is very fast too! I particularly like the option to add a collection as a single item or as multiple items for each movie in the collection.
I am impressed with the communication from the clz team. They really seem to have their act together for customer support.

My movie collection continues to evolve & my means of keeping track of it as well. From Paper Lists, to Excel Spreadsheets, to an unsupported free movie organizing app. I have Finally graduated to CLZ Movies!
This app is very EASY to use. It provides a great deal of useful information.
The highlight for my own personal use case, is that I see the contents of my physical media (DVDs, Blu-Rays, 4K UHDs), as well as my Apple TV purchases & Kaleidescape purchases as well. A great App that I highly recommend!

Excellent app to list my BluRay and DVD collection. Simple to add, edit or remove. Hope there's enough space for my 3000 disks...

I am a DBA by profession and love this app for my extensive DVD/Blue Ray collection. I started with the base app which had about 100 items but then eventually upgraded to unlimited.Some features I have suggested in my work for other applications it is that good.

I have been a proud user of CLZ Books for many years now. I think it must be 20 years at least! I have much more books than DVDs, so until recently I had never thought of using CLZ Movies.
Then the other day I paid for a movie online, just to discover afterwards that I already had in my collection. So I said to myself "I would need something like the CLZ books Mobile App...I check it every time I browse books in a bookshop...it saves me from buying duplicates (yes it happens if you have 1000 + books...), reminds me of authors I like, etc..."
I was sure to find the right app on your website, and yes I did! I am happily putting all my movies inside it.. such an easy and pleasant task...and thanks to the links with IMDB I am learning things that I did not know about movies I love!

Before I came across a magazine article about movie databases, I had a fairly large collection of 600+ blurays and DVDs that were listed on a piece of paper that I carried in my wallet. The problem was searching and remembering how I listed a movie and so I ended up with about 18 duplicate films, some bought brand new again.
Since joining CLZ I have never looked back. On my device is an incredible search engine that finds the films by even partial names. And since then I have had 1 extra duplicate and that was only because the seller sent it by accident and did not want it back. I now have over 1000 blurays, dvds and 4k titles and not only can see which format they are in but also where I bought them, how much I paid and the containers they came in.
Best of all I can allow access to my collection to friends and family and can trace where my films are at any given time. I am a paid up member until end of 2026 and I very much doubt that I will ever willingly choose to give up subscribing at anytime. Long may you exist as a service and thank you for keeping the app updated with useful features.

I’ve been looking for a new dvd collection/tracker thing ever since dvd aficionado went bye bye & i found CLZ Movies, this is such a great app i love it! they even have subscription plans & they’re worth getting.

I’ve been using CLZ for over 2 years now and can recommend it highly. I have 360 DVDs & 566 4K UHD, 57 Blu-ray digibooks. All the details are there for me to see for every individual title I own, including if you choose to add what you paid for a title. But be warned though, I hit the Statistics tab, which splits your collection in to a pie chart of what you own, in my case DVDs, Blurays 4Ks ans digibooks, and to my horror, I discovered that it also totals what I had spent on my entire collection.
USE THE STATS TAB AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION…you have been warned.
I’ve also found the customer support superb. Anytime I’ve had a question and contacted the team via the app, I’ve had a prompt, detailed and very friendly response, clearly answering my question and helping resolve my issue, so that’s user error on my part not knowing how to do something and getting a clear guide from CLZ support on how to do it. That means a lot to me. The app creators are enthusiasts just like us and you can see this in how happy they are to help you and in also that they continuously develop and improve the app.
Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

If you're a movie buff like me, CLZ Movies is an absolute lifesaver. It's the perfect tool to organize your film collection, whether you've got a few favorites or a whole room dedicated to DVDs and Blu-rays. The app is super easy to use. You can quickly add movies to your collection, either manually or by scanning barcodes. Once your collection is in the app, you can customize how you view it. If you're serious about your film collection, CLZ Movies is a must-have.

I have been a movie buff well before videotapes, DVD, Blu-rays and now streaming. When CLZ movies was first released, I jumped on it since the only database I used to keep track of my collection was FileMaker Pro. But now their Connect web-based software along with a iPad, iPhone and Android apps that sync effortlessly and their own CLZ scanner app, I can easily scan barcodes from my phone.
The details of each movie is amazing and you can add your own details as well. CLZ always updates all their apps to improve them and also add features. It is worth the monthly/yearly price. They also have specials on pricing so you can buy subscriptions for years to come.
All-in-all, you can’t go wrong with this invaluable database for your movies, and TV series.

There are dozens of movie collector apps but none come close to CLZ’s movie database. It is consistently updating to make it easier for collectors to keep track of your movies. My collection is huge so this app, which I’ve been using since it was its original release, has everything you need to catalogue your movies.
With streaming becoming more popular, I still purchase Blu-ray/DVD’s because the shows may not be available for streaming once they run their course through streaming services. CLZ’s core database is loaded with so much information that you’ll never have to look up who was in that movie or who produced or directed it.
This is the only database you need. I would also recommend their comic and book databases. Your movies seamlessly sync to iPads, smartphones, and your Mac or PC. If you have a large collection, as I do, you can’t go wrong with CLZ apps.

This app has been extremely helpful to me for locating all my DVDs and VHSs. This has been an easy app to use. I'd tried others, but this was the far simplest one for me to use. So much so that I also have the books collection too!

Me and my wife have been using DVD Profiler, for almost 14 years, we have accumulated 9200 discs, But recently DVD profiler has seemed to not be working correctly and mostly unsupported. So I looked at a couple of options, asked questions about importing, & collector z's support Dept gave me instructions how to export from profiler and import to CLZ (great service) within an hr or so I had my collection switched to the CLZ web version and also synced to this app THANKS and keep up the good work.

So far the App is fantastic , I've built up a large physical media collection over the year and I needed a method of cataloguing them - I'm a member of several dvd / blu ray groups of FB - someone on the group recommended CLZ movies to me , I got the app last night and was immediately amazed by the ease of use.

I was a DVD Profiler customer for 20 years but when they stopped supporting Android, I had to find an option so I selected CLZ Movies as I have been a CLZ Music user for many years. The ability to transfer my DVD Profiler collection of more than 1500 titles into the CLZ Movies app worked perfectly. I am very pleased with your app and support and will be sharing those feelings with others. Thank you again for your excellent support!

A little story. Long ago, I had a good-sized collection of old movies on VHS tapes, things I’d mainly recorded off of TCM. I painstakingly made a printed catalog of them, including brief reviews from Leonard Maltin’s book.
All those tapes eventually went to a dumpster, along with our VCR. So I began to acquire DVDs. Recently I thought, “Why not have a directory/catalog of those discs like my old VHS catalog?” And then I thought, surely there must be an app to make this easier and not require me to type everything.
Two days ago, I checked out the App Store and downloaded a different app. At first, it seemed to work great, finding most titles from their barcodes, and I was excited. The following day, however, it wouldn’t find ANY cover images, and it then lost ALL the images from my library.
I did some Googling and read nice things about CLZ, so I downloaded it. That was yesterday. CLZ was superior in every way to the original app I’d tried: so fast, so thorough, and with the added benefits of movie trailers, IMDB ratings…and most importantly, the ability to sync between my iPad and my phone. I quickly added about a hundred movies last night and will do many more in the next day or two. Just this morning, I realized how to add things by title for a wish list.
Sorry about the lengthy message, but TL;DR I LOVE your app! It does everything I needed, plus much more. Scrolling through all those beautiful covers is really gratifying.
