CATVids alternative

I'm tired of streaming services jacking up prices, playing ads, and recycling the same content from platform to platform, so I decided to resurrect my dvd collection and start buying Blu-rays, but I was worried about inadvertently buying duplicate titles.
I managed to catalog 194 titles Saturday morning in what, less than an hour? This is the kind of app where I wondered, why didn't I think of creating this?

I’ve been an annual subscriber for a year now. I initially did a free trial to see how I liked it. The developers were so responsive and helpful both before and after I purchased my subscription. I still love how easy the app and browser versions are to use. There are so many options for managing and organizing my collection. I can create various catalogs.
My annual renewal is coming up, and I’m absolutely renewing!

Have to say the app is brilliant and yes ive tried editing a few things and the interface makes that very easy.
Cataloguing my film collection is long overdue and have spent most of this afternoon trying to finish it (a way to go yet).

This app is very useful as a catalog of films, and the various databases are easily searchable. I have Laser, VCR, DVD, 4k formats. all are kept in this database. When I started, years ago, with this app, it was a rather simple listing; now the titles can be entered - by bar code or titls - and searched in their "Core" database. This can quickly fill in all pertinent data.

I have used this app to catalog my movies since I started collecting. Many features to make it easy to add to the collection, to sort by, and even the joy of a random movies to watch. I have now downloaded the gaming app version and know it will be the same.
Support was awesome when I emailed about possible bundle deals for both apps and they directed me right to the exact spot to bundle the two and others if wanted. I would suggest this app for anyone looking for a good catalog app.

It only took me about 3 hours to scan and catalog my 466 DVD collection. Works flawlessly.

I’ve created my own movie databases over the years to catalogue my collection but the advantages that the CLZ Movies app provides are by far…very far and above what any other app provides and what I have been able to create. And you can’t beat the price. I highly recommend this app as it does everything you can think of. Stop wasting your time, get the app, relax and watch a movie already.

This app was such an amazing find. It allows me to catalog all of my movies and be able to locate and find any film instantly at my fingertips. It does all the work for you! Great way to keep track your collection.

After years of looking for another app to catalog my collection, I am happy to find this one. It's easy to set-up and use. It's really good to keep you from accidentally buying the same thing twice.

I've been using CLZ Movies for a few years and it's fantastic. It allows me to catalogue my collection with ease by auto-filling the films details from a simple barcode scan just leaving for me to fill personal details such as whether I've watched it and where I've stored it. Its quick links to IMDB and to YouTube trailers also makes it so much simpler to help pick a movie to watch with family or to answer a trivia question.

I have over 1000 dvd’s that i want to catalog. This app is awesome. So easy to use and extensive movie database. Highly recommend.

The CLZ Movies app was exactly what I needed. It is very easy to use and I have had no problems with it so far. I highly recommend it if you need to catalog your DVDs and Blu-ray disk collection.

I love this app, a quick scan of the barcode and your new purchase is catalogued in your collection. You can view your collection in a variety of ways such as alphabetically, year of release, and by actor. It stops me from buying duplicates too lol!

For the past few years I have been using CLZ Movies to catalog and organize all of my physical media. All 1900+ of it as of writing this, and it has been an amazing app in keeping things on track. I also really like all of the analytic anecdotes the app offers such as calculating each film and show's IMDb rating, sorting everything under different filmmakers and actors, and pie charting all physical media formats. There is a yearly subscription fee for this app, but I would say it is worth it.

This is the best catalog program for your DVDs and Blu-ray’s. Adding disks is easy with scanning with your phone. As a bonus you can view details of your collection once disks are scanned. I’ve used this program for several years. I highly recommend it.

This is a great app for cataloging your DVD, Bluray collections and films you have seen at the cinema. One data base can be split into multiple collections depending on how you want to catalogue your collection. It is multiplatform including web, windows, android and IOS so you can keep your collection synchronised across multiple platforms. Entries can be added manually, from the CLZ core, or in the case of DVD/Blurays the bar code can be scanned.

A very comprehensive easy to use app that let’s me catalogue every type of movie that I have encountered in a simple but thorough database both on the pc & on my iPhone. A must have!

So I have been using the various CLS apps for my music. Books. And DVDs to catalogue everything in my collection my DVDs mainly as I have such a large collection 5 1/2 thousand title it helps me to keep track of everything and more importantly, the value of my collections so yeah love using these apps and I don’t see me changing any time soon.

I love the fast, easy scanning. Works great for Criterion and Shaw Brothers sets, each movie appears in the catalog individually while maintaining the reference to the set they came from. I love this!

I’ve been using Collectorz software since 2002, starting with their music collection program, and I’ve stuck with them ever since. The CLZ Movies app continues that same great reliability and organization I’ve come to expect. It’s incredibly easy to catalog my entire movie collection—physical discs and digital titles alike—with fast barcode scanning and automatic details from IMDb. I also use CLZ Music, and both apps sync perfectly through the cloud, so my collections stay up to date across devices. The layout’s clean, customizable, and user-friendly. The subscription isn’t cheap, but for the convenience and quality, it’s absolutely worth it if you’re serious about keeping your collection organized.

Perfect for physical media collectors! This app works flawlessly and adding movies is incredibly easy and accurate. There's a ton of options on how to sort your collection so if you want to sort by IMDB rating or date released, it's super easy to do.
It also distinguishes between DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K releases which makes it easy if you're trying to upgrade current titles you own to newer formats. This is also a great way to catalog everything for insurance purposes. Overall, great app!

As someone who painstakingly created a “database” of my movie collection using a spreadsheet years ago, I can confidently say that this app is a game changer! Gone are the days of endless hours spent organizing, updating, and maintaining my catalog.
Setting up the app took me less than 5 seconds—seriously! The interface is incredibly intuitive, making it accessible for anyone, whether you’re a tech wizard or just someone who loves movies. The only minor hiccup I encountered was when the QR code scanned incorrectly and friends in retail say that happens alot so it is not the app’s fault. However, even when I had to enter information manually, it took less than a minute to get everything sorted.
The user-friendliness of this app is what really shines. It's refreshing to have a tool that makes cataloging my collection so effortless. If you've been doing it the old-fashioned way, trust me, this app will save you a ton of time and frustration. Highly recommend!

I haven’t fully explored the app just yet but will soon get around to it as I do have plenty of more movies to scan & catalogue.

The CLZ Movies app is an amazing way to catalog a movie collection and track what you have, don’t have, and want to obtain. You can scan them in using the bar codes, it hits the web and iMDB for pertinent information, and automatically adds the details. Or you can manually add things. It can all go to the cloud so you can log in from any of your devices and access your collection.
It’s been one of the best apps I have.

Previously kept a record of my dvd/bluray collection on an Excel spreadsheet, however always took ages to update it. This app took me just over 2hours to catalogue my entire collection. It was super easy to do, just scanning every barcode and it added all the information automatically. Now if I can't decide what to watch, a quick shake of my phone, and the app chooses something at random. Well worth the annual subscription.
