Vinyl Database Software

I use CLZ music since its birth. And I really can’t do without by keeping my vinylcollection up to date and…findable!

Having a collection exceeding 25,000 vinyls (Albums, 12" and 7" singles) also in the region of 3,000 CDs, CLZ Music is an essential tool for organizing and managing my vast collection. Tried to do this previously using Excel and MS Access DB, but discovering CLZ Music was the best solution hands down.

It’s really good to find something that actually surpasses what you expect it to do. I’ve used CLZ music now for a couple of years and have managed to get all my CDs and vinyl logged. There are a miriad of ways to use it, using different filters, looking at your collections in different ways.
I use it not just to catalogue my music, but also to help me listen to it, picking up on stuff that’s easy to forget you’ve got! I even use it to log which LP/singles I’ve recently cleaned!
Additionally, I have just started using the movie app and now have all my DVDs logged, and while not as much as my music, still very helpful.
Great applications, well made and regularly updated.

I have been an audiophile for many years. With a large collection of Cd,s and a growing vinyl collection I was really struggling to keep track where they were filed. I was using spread sheets but there was just not enough information and it as also a tedious task. Then I found this app CLZ which is a music database.
One of the beauties of this app is the simplicity in entering a new album purchased. 99% of my entries are via the barcode reader. Not only does it add the album but also shows all of the tracks, shows the cover pic, allows me to enter my personal file number and I can rate the album. It also gives a search facility by artist or song or genre. There is also my personal stats as well.
I can not rate this app highly enough I absolutely recommend.

When the program I used before to catalogue, my music was decommissioned several years ago. I started look for a replacement. I read about many programs and I tested many programs, but I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.
Finally, I found CL said music. I tried it and I really liked it right away during the years. It has only gotten better! Since it takes it, it’s data from Discogs it’s fast and easy to add new items. If I am to add an item which has several pressings for example 30 different vinyl pressing it can be a bit of a challenge to find the right one in CLC music, but mostly it is resolvable.

I began using the CLZ music catalog App/web years ago to track my Vinyl/CD collection. It would have been amazing to have this app back when I started collecting. (Really amazing since I started my collection in 1968!) Kudos to the Team at CLZ for their always fantastic product!

I have collected vinyl for more than 55 years and built my own database to record and search my collection but everytime technology overtook my efforts until i found CLZ a few years ago. It does everythink i had ever dreampt of. Smoothly, efficiently and with gorgeous presentation and simple use.
I can not recommend this product highly enough. CLZ care and understand what collectors want! Only enhancement would be if the CLZ product could operate as the front screen to something like Spotify!

I’ve been using CLZ Music collector for 5+ years and it’s been a great way to catalog my CDs and LPs. I use it to keep all media organized by genre and alpha in CD rack and LP cabinet (1000 CDs +100 newly added LPs.) when I scan a new CD - I instantly know which CDs it goes between!
CLZ is always improving the app. like recently adding statistics in real. 5.2. The best part for me is being able to scan barcodes or enter catalog #s - I can’t imagine doing it manually anymore. And now scanning is in the app - no more need for the separate Barry app. Syncing to the cloud is a nice assurance too.
One of the best working apps I’ve found for running on my PC, MAC, iPhone and iPad !

For years I use CLZ to bring clearness in my Vinyl/CD/Music File Connection. You are sure you have an album but don’t know on what medium it was and where it is located? You want to search your entire collection for a certain composer, or composition? CLZ does it all. The lay-out is perfect and the app is incredibly flexibel to meet my, maybe not so common, needs.
For me CLZ brings all together, and is essential to keep my extensive Classical and Jazz collection organized.
I can highly recommend it.

Excellent app. Very full featured and is allowing me to quickly catalog a vinyl and CD collection using bar code scanning and will save me money by eliminating a potential duplicate vinyl purchase, as I continue to grow that collection, over CDs.

I really do love this app. For one thing, I’m not making the occasional duplicate purchase of something I already have. I love it’s search functionality, giving me each album that a particular song is on; and the ability to add my own specific info (i.e. color of vinyl, weight, purchase location and price, digital download, etc.) is an excellent feature! The majority of my catalog is made up of vinyl with a few CD’s in there, but it clearly identifies each. I use it constantly, and wouldn’t want to not have it!

Well worth the subscription fee. Started collecting vinyl and this app is an excellent way to keep track of what I have. Had bought doubles a couple times. Highly recommend this app to anyone.

Easy to use. Easy to carry when you see that LP and ask do I have it?

I have been using this app for cataloguing my large LP collection for many years. I have found the app a wonderful way to track my collection, it’s easy to use, logical and well thought out. The app has saved me from buying records I already own, as my memory is not what it used to be!
Recently I ran into a glitch with the app. Alwin at CLZ Customer Service was very patient with me and very quickly resolved the issue. A great app with wonderful customer service.

Extremely attractive graphic presentation. Easy to use: Intuitive and user friendly. Useful: All records and information at hand. Never again did I have to return a record (CD or Vinyl) after buying it for the 2nd time.

Really easy to construct a library and find the vinyls you want.

Owning this app for many years and the small amount of updates have been great. Entering your collection by scanning the bar code? It's got that. Knowing which vinyl records I have while browsing through shops prevents me from making another purchase of one I have. While playing albums, I can quickly browse what I want to play next. Great sorting and search functions.

CLZ Music is een fantastische gebruiksvriendelijk en stabiele app. Inmiddels bestaat mijn muziekcollectie uit 700+ vinyl platen en 800+ cd’s. Met deze app kan ik overzichtelijk bijhouden wat ik heb. Groot pluspunt van deze app is dat je meerdere collecties aan kan maken, zodat ik m’n cd en vinyl collectie gescheiden bij kan houden in 1 app. Daarnaast heb ik ook Music Connect, de cloudservice van Collectorz. Erg leuk om naar te linken vanaf m’n eigen website om m’n collectie eenvoudig aan anderen te laten zien. Support vanuit Collectorz is zeer snel en goed, al heb ik in een jaar tijd maar 1 keer support nodig gehad voor een technisch synchronisatie probleem, wat snel werd opgelost.

I have a huge CD collection, in the 1,000's. Finally a way to catalog and locate them! For such a small fee, such a big help! Seems to work nearly perfect. Everything I had hoped for. Have options to catalog LP and cassette too along with CD's. Very flexible. Finally I can search for an artist fast and easy!

Ik gebruik jullie programma al jaren met veel plezier voor mijn platenverzameling. ik ben nu weer bezig om mijn vinyl verzameling bij te werken. Ik moet nu nog 200 singles van de 1700 inbrengen. Het automatisch uit de CLZ Core halen is echt super. ik heb alles via het catalogusnummer laten zoeken en werkelijk alles zat erin zelfs alle hoesjes. Wat een data base moet dat zijn.
Mijn complimenten hiervoor.

A great way to manage my Vinyl and CD collection.

Sinds mijn 15e jaar (wij schrijven dan 1967) ben ik platen gaan kopen. Daarvoor nam ik veel muziek op van de radio met een Philips bandrecorder en toen mijn eerste “grammofoonplatenspeler” kwam, na sponsoring van mijn opa, kwamen de eerste plaatjes. Eerst singletjes en EP’tjes. Later de eerste LP. Ik weet nog welke dat was: “Well Respected Kinks”, de plaat bevindt zich nog steeds in mijn verzameling. Ik zat nog op school, had een krantenwijk en kocht zo ongeveer 1 plaat per maand. Ze kosten toen ongeveer Fl. 13,99 - Fl. 17,99. Toen ik in mil. dienst ging bij de luchtmacht, werd het platen kopen wat gemakkelijker, omdat ze bij de welzijnszorg een stukje goedkoper waren. Na deze tijd ben ik getrouwd, kwamen de kindertjes en heeft het kopen van muziek erg lang stil gelegen. In 1997 zijn wij gescheiden en kwam er weer ruimte voor het kopen van muziek. Eerst CD’s en later in 2013 ben ik weer vinyl gaan kopen. Tijdens mijn “CD tijdperk” had ik CATraxx ontdekt en heb dat programma gebruikt totdat de Zweedse eigenaar er mee stopte en het niet meer verder werd ontwikkeld. (Inmiddels blijkt het weer op de markt te zijn).

Toen ontdekte ik Collectorz.com Ik heb een abonnement genomen op de PC versie toen ik nog een Windows PC had. Dat beviel mij uitstekend. Ik kon veel data van CATraxx naar Music Collector overzetten en aanpassen. Toen de online versie verder was ontwikkeld ben ik overgestapt naar Music Connect en Movie Connect, omdat ik inmiddels ook een flinke verzameling DVD’s had opgebouwd. Later heb ik een MacBook gekocht en ook daarop werkt het natuurlijk prima! Al vele jaren maakt ik inmiddels ook gebruik van de apps CLZ Music en CLZ Movies en de barcode scanner.

Wat wij onmiddellijk goed beviel waren de uitgebreide mogelijkheden om van alles in te voeren aan gegevens omtrent je aangekochte items, ook aankoopdatum, aanschafprijs en de winkel waar je iets had gekocht en dat zijn er slechts een paar. De mogelijkheden zijn bijna eindeloos. Ook dat je platen kon importeren zonder dat je de hoesjes eerst moest downloaden en op je computer opslaan is zo fijn. Dat scheelt zoveel werk!

Ik ben super tevreden, niet alleen over de software, maar ook de support is prima! Gewoon een berichtje sturen en je krijgt (meestal dezelfde dag) nog antwoord.

Wat mij ook heel erg goed bevalt zijn de voortdurende updates met verbeteringen of uitbreidingen die regelmatig worden toegepast. Ook kun je zelf met ideeën komen hiervoor en als het uitvoerbaar is wordt er serieus over nagedacht of het toegepast zou kunnen worden.

Ook de app is heel handig! Mijn verzameling bestaat inmiddels uit 4892 albums en 671 films en hoe vaak sta ik niet in een winkel te denken van: “Heb ik dat album of die film nu wel of niet” en raadpleeg dan even de app en voorkom ik een dubbele aankoop. Vroeger had ik dat niet nodig, maar inmiddels ben ik op weg naar de 71 en ben ik blij dat ik niet alleen op mijn geheugen hoef te vertrouwen.

Have been using CLZ Music for a couple of years now, and recently added Connect. It has been very helpful in organizing my Vinyl and CD collection, and I really appreciate the flexibility to add my own notes and categorization, as well as it's flexible search capabilities. It is invaluable when digging at stores or vinyl fairs to ensure I don't buy duplicates. When I have had to contact support, they always responded very quickly and answered any questions.

I love it and it made me love my music collection all over again - it was a pandemic project to catalog all my CDs - so fun going through my collection again. I still have not catalogued all my vinyl yet though.

Super easy to scan all your Vinyl and CDs.

Best databases for collectors of Vinyl or Comics or anything. Barcode scans, customizable fields, manual entry, HUGE core database. I've been using them for years. Inexpensive and perfect.

I have been using CLZ Music for a couple of years now - and it’s brilliant! Like others, I wanted a way to organise my music collection - Vinyl, CD and digitised. CLZ Music is very flexible - you can enter as much or as little data as you want about your collection. Adding or deleting as the mood or time takes you. Even beyond the “presets” it is infinitely flexible and user driven - ideal for the most exacting of audiophiles in my opinion. There are multiple fields that I have thought, that would be really interesting to record. Some day soon, I may get round to it. But, CLZ Music is no less useful if you don’t complete those fields.
On the minimal number of occasions I have contacted support (once as a newbie and recently being very forgetful!) - they are superb! Often replying within a short period of time (note to self: maybe support don’t work 24/7; Sundays take a bit longer!). They are always helpful, friendly, supportive and know how to solve your problem.
Would I stop my subscription and try someone else, or not bother at all to organise my collection? Not a chance!!

Best app for vinyl collection hands down. Very customizable and detailed.

I don't see anyone mentioning the convenience of having an app to organize not only my owned music (Vinyl, CDs, files), but also music I discover across a variety of streaming platforms. I now have, in one place, a growing collection of music which links to YouTube, YT Music, Qobuz, Amazon, etc. This also helps me keep track if an album is ever removed from any streaming platform.
