Updating: The document “[…]” could not be opened.

This error can happen if the conversion of your database was interrupted while updating to a new version.

Solution:

1. Download this version of Book Collector for macOS and install it.
2. Open your database with this older version (use File > Open database if it doesn’t open automatically).
3. Click menu Tools > Maintenance > Regenerate Search Strings and wait for it to finish (it can take a little while)
4. Now install the latest version using menu Book Collector > Check for Updates.
5. After installing, the database will start converting to the latest version.

*Converting your database to the latest version will take 10 to 30 minutes the first time depending on the size of your database. Please be patient.
